I received both “The Plans I Have for You hardback book and The Plans I Have For You Journal” from Zonderkidz for this review.
My Take on The Plans I Have for You Devotional Book
The book has 6 Sectors, each with over 10 parts, and over 150 pages long.
The book is meant to take 90 days give or take, depending on how often your family has “Quiet time”.
I loved how encouraging the book was for the boys, saying they have a purpose in life and how they are always needed by God. I like how it makes them think; giving them a scavenger hunt and a test, having them use their bible which helps them learn it in little chunks.
My Take on The Plans I Have for You Journal
The journal has 6 Sectors to go along with the book, with over 200 pages including: fill-in-the-blank, questions to answer, doodling or drawing, and just plain journaling. I like that the book also has quotes from the bible scattered throughout the book. I like how they read the devotional, they can go to the journal and find that part and then write about what they learned.

Vanessa Brantley-Newton is a self-taught illustrator, doll maker, and crafter. Her passion for children's books began when she came across The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats as a child in the 1960s. Growing up in a musical family who love to sing, Vanessa's illustrations are as fun and whimsical as a beautiful melody. Vanessa currently makes her nest in Charlotte, NC with her husband of 20 years, their daughter, and a very rambunctious cat named Stripes.
