In the technology-filled world, we live in, and the ‘wired’ millennial generation growing up and starting families of their own, it can be tricky to know what to get a child as a gift. Luckily, here is a list of some great tech-gift advice for kids of all ages.
With babies, you tend to buy gadgets for the parents (or yourself) to help make life easier. From the diaper genie to webcams, parents have it all. So how about a Bath Bubble Machine that suctions to your bathroom wall and shoots a slow stream of bubbles for your baby to enjoy and have fun with? You can also get some great interactive baby gadgets, like a play mat which can sense when your baby is falling asleep and switches to a lullaby.
Now that they are moving, talking and playing with everything ever – why not blow their minds with a gravity-defying car? This remote control car uses motion technology, so they have to wiggle their little arms, like they’re driving, to get the car going. You can also look at things like talking dolls, like Baby Annabel, or magic mats which allow them to draw with water.
Children are adventurous and know more about their parent's cells then they do. So as they start interacting with games and puzzles, why not get them a kid-friendly tablet where they can watch their favorite shows and (you) download fun learning games? You can load it with parental control, and even use a kid-friendly search engine, called KidRex.
Oh, those awkward years where you’re not a child, but not quite a teenager yet! This is your chance to help them through that transition by upgrading their tech – make them feel more like a teenager. Perhaps this is the year they get a cell, or you might upgrade their kid-tablet to an Ipad.
Or you might feel like they are still more kid than a teen. In these instances why not look at something like an electric quad for kids? In a range of sizes, and speeds, these toys are great fun.
Teens are the hardest to buy for – their personalities are so complex, and go through phases of loving one thing one minute, and hating it the next. For this, you need something durable, a gadget that they will always need. Speakers are perfect; teens play music wherever they are, headphones on head looking down at their phones – sound familiar? You can find unique portable speakers that last for years, or you can find some slim and smooth speakers – whichever they would prefer.
